One of the most widespread myths is that couples therapy is «the last resort before breaking up». In reality, the sooner you ask for help, the more room there is to rebuild. Some signs it might be time:
- You always argue about the same thing and get nowhere.
- Distance, silence or routine have appeared.
- There's been a crisis of trust.
- You struggle to agree on important matters.
- One or both of you feel alone within the relationship.
Couples therapy isn't about «proving anyone right», but about helping you understand what's happening and recover a healthy way to communicate. Sometimes the goal is to rebuild; other times, to separate in the best possible way. Either way, doing it with support helps.
